  2. Good luck, Sellers. Hope you have a great trip. I'm really jealous and I wish I could ride alongside as it sounds like an awesome adventure is about to happen. One recommendation though, ditch "The Road" as your reading material, unless you're really into Cormac McCarthy. I read it and, while beautifully written, it's all gloom--always dark, gray, and cold. I imagine you're going to have tough riding days where the wind and rain might beat you down and reading "The Road" will not lift you spirits. I recommend one of the following: The River Why, Blue Highways, The Snow Leopard, Into the Wild, Hell's Angels by Hunter S. Thompson (on my wish list), Full Circle by Michael Palin(on my wish list). Be safe and have fun.

  3. Sellers,

Some notes on your "Things you should bring to camp" list...

I am happy you are bringing duct tape and ziploc bags. But, where the hell is your Sharpie?

You should perhaps include a small notepad...diary writing is always a good way to pass the time. Also, you can make notes of some of the pictures you will be taking along the way (unless you're relying on your phone...but writing by hand gives it much more romantic aura).

Why are you bringing soap and shampoo? It's just added weight and...well, I'll skip the hair jokes for now.

Do you have a tire pump? Or a CO2 cartridge system? Spare tire? In the case you run over something and need a quick fix, a dollar bill or power bar wrapper could tide you over until you find a shop (line the inside of the tire...if it's not too big of a hole).

Toilet paper? Purell? Latrine constructor (aka shovel)?

    Ping-pong paddle? Trophy?

Your ride will be epic. Have a safe trip buddy.
